After recording this controlled overtone singing on a constant fundamental note and securing the "raw" audio, I played a bit with the echo settings. At first the echo was way too much and it resulted in the track becoming ever louder probably because of overlapping echoes. Before blowing out my speakers I turned the player off. But I had heard something intriguing at the start, so I tuned the echo down until I got what sounded right to me. Not just right, it was perfect. One sometimes has to let go of control to gain something even better. Not talking about just the track here, the way the echoes act teaches me something new about how to use my voice. I may be able to put it to good use in my next album.
