about

After some detours in ambient experimentation with time- and pitch-stretching, this album focusses on the polyphonic qualities of voice, on experimentation and improvisation. I consider the track "Cave Bear" to be my best attempt at being (instead of trying). It resulted in a shaman-like ritual that turned me into this cave bear who has a lot of grunts to offer.

The album art is a cut-out from a photo that I made. What is it? Only one person may know: the creator.

This album is for free! Why? It's the cheapest promotional experiment I could think of. Today a lot of music is for free. If you want better streaming quality you get yourself a subscription to one of the many streaming services, right? Since it's 2020 and there is no chance of getting some recognition through live performances (to be fair: I am not looking forward to the travelling and facing stage-fright), I figured that the best way to get ahead right now is to make listening and even downloading this album in the highest quality (24-bit/96kHz) FREE OF CHARGE. So where is the catch, or what is in it for Harry you may ask. Simple: when you download my music for free, I require you to leave me your e-mail address. As per Bandcamp rules, I have sworn (solemnly) to only use it for my own promotion and not sell (or even give away) your e-mail address to third parties. The way to prevent giving away your precious e-mail address is to pay me any amount you see fit.

If you'd rather have a copy of this album on audio-CD or even a MiniDisc, just write me an e-mail and we'll see what we can work out.

The first instrument of man is the voice. The first amplifier, a cave. For a caveman, there is no middle of the road.
